Main contribution

The contribution is to offer a practical reference to evaluate simulation tools and real nodes of distributed registry technologies. The comparison allows you to see differences in consumption, performance and reproducibility without depending on complex laboratory infrastructures.

Results and scope

The comparison on a laptop quantifies execution times, resource consumption and ease of deployment of BlockSim, SimEwu and IOTA Hornet. The results show clear differences between simulation and real execution and allow the tool to be selected according to the level of fidelity, scale and available computing capacity.

Link with BoND1

For BoND1, this work provides a useful methodological basis for studying distributed architectures and network services that can be integrated with advanced IoT scenarios. The possibility of reproducing small-scale tests fits with the project’s objective of evaluating non-cellular B6G solutions with measurable and transferable criteria.
